Devices running Android version 11 or later come with everything needed to establish IPSec connections using IKEv2 to the Intra2net system. No additional apps, root access, or similar requirements are needed.
Android devices are available from many different manufacturers. Each manufacturer has the option to customize Google’s stock Android software for its devices. Therefore, we cannot guarantee that all devices will function properly. Additionally, the user interface may differ in some details from the one described here.
To set it up for the first time, you'll need a PC with a USB connection to the Android device.
Prepare the Intra2net system for a connection with VPN clients as described in Section 46.2, „Preparing the configuration on the Intra2net system“ first. You can then set up the connection as described in Section 46.3, „Automatic configuration for clients on the Intra2net system“. Select "" as the VPN client type.
